This is my MSc Project game, developed for my dissertation - Enforcing Playstyle Adaptation: The Impact of Dynamic Resistance on Combat Strategy in a Game Environment

This study explored the impact of a dynamic, resistance-based combat system on player behaviour, strategy adaptation, and overall engagement within a game environment. The primary research objective was to assess whether a reactive resistance system could prompt players to diversify their attack strategies in response to changing enemy resistances. A total of 10 players participated in playtesting, generating 300 data points across three attack types—melee, ranged, and magic. Players were evaluated based on their kill counts, resistance data, and survey responses across two game modes: Mode A (scripted resistances) and Mode B (reactive resistances).
